"Sold for $56,000 (Gooding & Company)

In an auction loaded with Ferraris, Porsches, and Benzes, sometimes the domestic cars don’t get as much attention. This Chrysler 300B, from the second year of the “Letter Series” cars, wears a 10-year-old restoration and we rated it as a #2- car. But despite the condition and the combination of 340-horse Hemi and high-tier luxury features of the “Banker’s Hot Rod,” this one went at no reserve for 19 percent below its average value."

From what I've been seeing prices are coming down, and I have a feeling they have a way to go yet, especially if we get the widely predicted recession.

I think overall interest is waning, too. The last show I went to was MCACN and I'd guestimate the average age was 60. Hagerty ballparks they're average at 54. Unless there is a revival bringing an influx of new blood/money into the market, I would expect it to continue to slide.

The best cars command the best money. There is always a drop off after that. Wrong auction house to go to as well. Hard to say the market is dying when other cars are hitting historic highs.
