I saw this car on the web, 5 years ago, or so. It does not have pwr windows or the inlays in the seat upholstery, as I recall.

This one is/was in Sweden, that's all I know about it.

This is Aivar's former car, He had two 1958 Chrysler New Yorker Convertibles,
He found both of them on "Route 66". This one was known as the "Ivory King", and
the one I own now was known as the "Emerald Queen". The Ivory King was sold to a friend of ours, Borje, who then sold it to a dealer in San Diego. After that, the car ended up in Canada, but Aivar tells me, it is back in the US, now.
Borje and Aivar got into a race one nite, and the Emerald Queen Won, YEAHHHH!

Here are some very high resolution pictures of my car, that I found on the web,
(You can "Zoom them")

zoom over to the right front headlights. (Where the Heck are they)?
On the way to this "Concours show in Palos Verdes, CA, the right front tire shredded
its steel belts and knocked the headlights onto the freeway! Everyone in the car still
wanted to go to the show, (I wanted to go home), but we continued to the show on
the spare tire. Once at the show, I told the judges, "forget about judging the car",
but they refused to do so, and the car placed 2nd in its class, (beating Borje's 59
Red & White Custom Royal Convertible). He was FURIOUS!!!

So there are three parade green '58 New Yorker convertibles out there? I had previously thought that they were all pictures of the same car. So, including Mike's red car, I count 5 total.

The Black and Spruce one was mine in the mid '80s. I got it from a guy who had it in Nevada, nice #3 car at the time, iirc I paid $5k for it. I've never seen another one. Traded it to Ron Wenger of Chambersburg PA for a white/tan '57 300-C convert basket case. Not sure where the NYwe went after Ron, who had an amazing collection of Mopar muscle cars... hemi Superbirds and the like. I have a pic of the NYer in an old photo album somewhere from when Ron drove it to my house once. I wish they'd take that horrible yellow battery out of there!!

Jist look at all 'em '58 New Yorker convertibles!  Common as ketchup!

Ha!  Just joking!  Each one of them is a rare jewel indeed!

Which do you think is the best of the bunch?  Kind of tough to pick, especially with just pictures.  You would probably have to see them all to tell.

There is also a 58 new yorker convertible in australia. It is a blue one that I bought on ebay in mid 2001. It was owned by a chrysler dealer collector in clinton sth carolina. It was a nice original car but I did a frame on resto and sold it in 2002 to a guy in new south wales australia. I believe he still has it. I will try and attatch some pics.
