Soon, my 1959 Dodge will find a new home in Colorado!

This is good news for Doc Desoto as that "Ugly 59 Dodge convertible"
will be farther away from him.

It will be good news for Lancer Mike, as now, his 58 Topless Desoto
will have a topless sister, not that far away, and maybe their owners
would consider cruising them together?

I've had the car for 15 years now, and I just don't drive enough to
merit owing 3 & a half classic cars, anymore.

The Dodge still looks and drives very well, with its 476 HP 440 engine.
It has all the "goodies" including swing out seats, power steering,
front disc brakes (non power) and a power convertible top that's like new.

The new owner is Steve, who has posted here before, when I did a thread
trying to determine a fair price for the car. I will send Steve here, in case
He needs any help with the car, or just to chat with folks who share our
interests in these cars.

While my 59 Dodge is Doc Desoto's "Worst Nightmare", It is Steve's "Dream Car"
and that is the reason I sold it to him, and for probably a lot less money
than I could have got from a "Flipper".

Anyway, I hope Steve continues to share this Dodge with you folks who enjoy it
and keep you appraised of the Dodge latest adventures.

Congratulations, Gary!  I am really going to look forward to seeing that car in person!  It has to be a bitter-sweet feeling - I think you, Doc, I, and many on this site share a similar deep connection to the cars we have owned.  When it is time to sell, it is time to sell - so good for you!  I am glad you found a new owner in the Centennial State.  If you ever plan to visit, you have a place to stay here! I can't wait to see that amazing radio / tv in action!  You have done wonderful work on that car.

A great looking and fast Dodge. We got the honor to go with you in 2012 from Pomona.

Makes me wonder how many FL-enthusiasts that Gary kindly welcomed to his home and for a ride in this car

These photos is from 2011
