They say 3 speed Auto. I see a 2 speed cluster, P.s., P.g., AC!.

Seems to be rust free, not yet dunked in garish orange-red paint and not beaten with the ugly hockey stick. Very, very nice car, wonder why it's still around. Wish I had the money.

I think they put the sale on hold to re price. I was on the phone Saturday morning with the salesman trying to buy the car when he complained regional called to question them on the price. Then he asked to call me back in 5 minutes. When he did he said the car just sold. HMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I bought the car.
I saw the ad and the price seemed too right.
I called to inquire about it and the salesman laughed in my ear, saying that I was the 18th caller that day.
He said he didn't understand the fascination with it. He said he was more of an import guy.
I gave him a brief history lesson, as best as I could.
I live three hours away, in Evansville, and wanted to drive up to see it. He responded by saying that it would probably be gone by the time I arrived.
So, I laid down a deposit to hold it.
I drove to Indy and checked it out... Nice car. Starts right up, quiet purr to the engine, shifts out and handles very nicely.
Apparently, the owner had passed away about three months ago and his son didn't want it.
It seems very well maintained and cared for.... And will continue to be.
I ran the serial number, and it was built in Evansville.
So, after 62 years, it is coming home.

Very nice! I'm glad she found another good home. Post some photos of her when you get a chance.

Awesome! How did you find this car, and why were you looking for this car?? It looks like a ripper in the pics on the ad.

Steve.

Steve
I had owned a 57 four door Savoy, before.
Had to give it up.
Since then, I had been on the hunt for another.
I just happened to see the ad on ebay the day it was listed. As I said, the price seemed too right and I had to call to check on it.
I have owned other classics... Tri Five, Corvette and so on. But nothing compares to the look of the 57-58 Plymouth.
I love that it was built in my home town. And believe it or not... There is not another in this area as far as I know.
Much pride.
The pictures were accurate.
Very sweet automobile.

Thanks 1960Fury.
It is beautiful.
My wife and I flipped when we saw the price... And those bumper wings.
Not to mention air conditioning.
