I am in need of the front turn signals on a '55 Plymouth. I need the whole housings. I'm not sure what they mount to, but I want to put it on my '56, so if it is different, I would like the mounting brackets too.

FYI, there are no brackets. The housing has a rubber backing that fits into the space behind the bumper. I don't have a set of these, just giving you some info. Good luck with the search!

If you have a '55, I would appreciate a photo of it. Thanks for the info.

I have a 56, which are the same as a 55. Before I just re-wired mine I found a guy with one for sale, and he had a couple of good pictures. Check it out:

'56 and '55 are not the same. That's why I am wanting to convert my '56 to use the '55 lights because I don't like that rubber housing. This is a picture of a '55 turn signal housing, and the lens is different too because it is held on with 2 screws.

That is DEFINITELY different - and the 55 is a much better design then. The lenses for the 56 just pop on too, no screws holding them on. Terrible design....I was told the 55's were the same.

I just checked my car to see how these are mounted. The rubber goes through a hole in the front fender. So to mount the '55 housings, it looks like I would have to put a plate with holes for the screws in it, behind the fender, and spot weld that to the fender. So no need to purchase anything. The '55 fender is probably different to mount that there.
