Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | Figured I outta share my recent acquisition. Just got back from Damascus, Or. where I adopted this slightly customized Fury. If you look around the forum you will find that it came out of Co. in 2014. I'll add some more picture in the next few days. I'm sure there will be some questions too. Expert Posts: 3967 Location: DFW, TX | Outstanding!! Not sure if you're hunting for original wheel covers for it, but if you have any interest in the 'correct' lip-lace Plymouth/Dodge wire wheels, I can put you in touch with someone that has a set of them.

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | The dual fours was a trial and I erred. I got them all hooked up and could not get it to run worth a darn. After further research and a phone call, I came to the realization that it was WAY over carburated. So that intake is back on the shelf until I can find a pair of the correct carbs. WCFB 2552 and 2553 are the ones for 1956. I did find a pair for '57 but they were attached to a manifold with linkage and out of my price range. The manifold came by way of a friend of mine who happened upon it over a decade ago. Come to find out it is an early production aluminum manifold without the choke well and a divided plenum. Which means I will have to run the carbs in parallel rather than progressive, like they did in '57.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9654 Location: So. Cal | Check out this thread from 2015. That's gotta be your same intake manifold. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=56424&...

Extreme Veteran Posts: 363 | Hi was curious on the air cleaners on the dual quad setup, what are they and do you have a supplier contact? Do they run an adapter or a direct fit to WCFB? Thanks Owen

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | These were made by Pur-O-lator back in the day as an aftermarket air cleaner replacement. Chevrolet used them on their corvettes as well. First site i found with the repops. https://www.corvettecentral.com/c1-53-62/air-cleaners-filters/2-x-4/... Direct fit to the WCFB Edited by ABloch 2019-08-01 11:17 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9654 Location: So. Cal | I just noticed that you have a '55 Plymouth center on your hood. That makes sense with the removal of all the emblems out there. I really love the '56 Fury, I just wish they had extended the side trim to the top of the fin. I guess it was too difficult to do well with the body line there.

Expert Posts: 1476 Location: Pacific Northwest | I'm not sure who decked the hood. The p.o. bought it that way and was going to reinstall a hood ornament. I'm glad he didn't. It wasn't a Fury ornament that he had , just a painted one. The antenna was shaved also so I pulled the dead radio and installed the "delete" plate. I removed the trunk ornament and will fill the holes this winter as well as shave the door handles. Contemplating lake pipes as well..... we'll see.
