1. STOP WRITING IN ALL CAPS !!!

2. Buy a shop manual or read thru the many posts on this message board, on how to properly set up the brakes. You probably need to rebuild. Do you have the proper tool for removing the rear drums ? You will never get them off otherwise.

I prefer the AAJ disc brake conversion. They stop my imperial just fine.

Basically, they work the same way. The booster just gives an assist when stepping on pedal. If the booster fails, it will default to manual (although harder to get car to stop).

If your Chrysler has 11" brakes, then without power brakes it is kinda difficult to stop. It that case, I would recommend AAJ or Scarebird disc conversion.

I used AAJ brakes and he was a great help. I don't mind if you use all caps.

I have manual 11" drum brakes in my '61 Newport. No complaints. Repro parts are junk so I ended up buying all original and rebuilt cylinders from JC Auto in Seattle. Huge difference from the imported stuff. Cost more but the brakes function as they should.
