Might be the one I saw advertised (not on Craigslist) as being in Lincoln which is right next door to Nicolas. Owner never answered my e-mails.
Oh well, it turned out a lot better than it would have under my ownership.

That was partly why it took so long for me to close a deal on it - despite being advertised it was difficult to get a response, which made me wary. And yes, at one point I believe the ad said Lincoln. John at Big M was aware of it and had been asked to do some work on it.

Looks like the same interviewer of your old convertible just did a story on a '57 2 door wagon

Thanks for that link, I hadn't seen it. At least these folks were more aware of what they had than the convert owner was. That makes 5 other 2-door wagons that I am aware of, one (yellow and white) I saw in MN and 3 I've seen online. I'm sure there are a few more, but not many.

Finally picked up a "best paint" award at a 300-car show on Saturday. I was frankly surprised it didn't get one earlier with the quality of the paint job. We had really hoped to do some long-distance traveling in it but my wife's health isn't going to allow that. As we are both 76 now it's probably inevitable that it may be time, after nearly 8 years, to let this one go too. If any of you are interested in a pro-built very rare cruiser, drop me a PM.

Congrats on the best paint award.

I love what you have done with this car. I had some similar ideas when my SRT8 Magnum was totaled from flood damage during Harvey. I really thought about buying it back from insurance and swapping the drive train over to my Suburban. But I was was also stuck with a flooded house at the time.

This is a bad time for me to be broke, I'd be in touch about picking this up.

Hmmm, I might start buying lottery tickets.

Wow, over 50,000 views on a thread I thought few would be interested in. It's been 8 years almost to the day (11/9/17) since I bought the wagon, and 6 1/2 years since I started documenting its progress here. At 76 I still enjoy taking it out on trips or to shows, but my wife's failing health has taken its toll on how much we can do. It is put away for the winter now but will be ready for the next season when our NW weather allows. I appreciate the interest and support from all the FWLK readers.
