Hello,
Has anyone successfully recreated the gold/yellowish coating on these knobs?? I thought I would be able to "tint" some clear coat but after 4 hours at the automotive paint store, trying numerous paints and translucent coatings, we came up with nothing satisfactory. Attached are pictures of an untouched original knob.
Any suggestions?

I want to try out Krylon stained glass paint... its a "tint" and the canary yellow might be bright enough to handle the chrome underneath...
