What engine would a 1961 Chrysler Windsor have? Were there optional engines available for the Windsor, like a 413?

It would have the 383 RB motor. From the outside, it looks identical to the 413 with the same intake etc, but a smaller bore size. The newly designated Newport, which was similar to the Windsor, would have come with the 361 B motor. I seriously doubt that you could have got a 413 in a Windsor because they would most likely have had you upgrade to the New Yorker instead. But I don't know this for certain.

No again. The same question has been asked a couple of weeks ago. The RB 383 was 59/60 US-Chrysler ONLY. Fortunately the switched to the 383-B for the 1961 model year.

Thanks for the correction. I thought they continued to '61, apparently a common misconception.

I believe not officially but if you had the right connections, everything was available from Chrysler.
