Location: London, England | Hi all,
every picture I've seen shows the plate on which the m/c mounts to be black, but mine is painted the same color as the firewall, and doesn't seem to have been repainted. Are they all black, or was there some variation? 1957 Plymouth, 301 V8, no power brakes. |

Location: So. Cal | All of my cars show it as having been painted black. However there are a couple of cars that have a significant amount of body color overspray on top of the black, showing that the firewall was painted with the plate already installed. Many of my cars don't show this so it seems to vary. I suspect that the plate on your car was installed first too. |
