Nice turn out of Forward look cars at the Iola Old car Show this past week-end.

The rump of the old Ruffalo collection was present, and in the same general area where it has always been displayed; right in front of the Krause Publications building. Ruffalo was a guy who made his money, and he liked to collect Forward Look Mo Pars (1955-1962) He died some years ago (2007 or 2008 I think) and the collection was broken up and sold to other car nuts. Now a few cars of that legendary and massive collection still come to Iola in memory of their original caretaker. Here’s a few of the nicer ones that showed up this year:

Interesting 1959 De Soto at the show with a 354 ci. Hemi stuffed into the engine bay; doner was a Chrysler undoubtedly as the factory wasn't putting Hemis in De Sotos anymore by 1959. Also present was a 1959 Plymouth Fury wth factory air conditioning. Surprised to see a car with factory air with crank windows though.
