I need a couple of new lenses for the Fury and I've come across a discrepancy.

This listing is for '55-'56 Plymouth but is clearly not the lens I have in my car.
1579664 is a Dodge part according to my book....not Plymouth.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Courtesy-Light-Lens-Set-for-1955-1956-Plymo...

I've got a part number 1593550 for Plymouth. The tabs on mine will not hold them in place anymore.

Anyone?

Andrew: The 55/56 Dodges (and Plymouths (?)) had two different style dome/courtesy lights. The sedans like mine, got a single over head dome light. It uses a large somewhat bulbous (no pun intended) asymmetrical lens. The Lancers (2 and 4 door) did NOT get an over head dome light. Instead they got two courtesy lights, one on each side. They use the flatter, less asymmetrical, less bulbous lenses, like the one you show. I think that their PNs are 1579 664 based on the listing below (note: "2" required, whereas the dome light is "1" required). The photos below show the Lancer courtesy lights and the sedan dome light (PN 1593 550)

Despite what they say, the ones on eBay from Mopar Mall are the ones for the sedan dome light.

You could solve your issue of the lights falling out with a couple of dabs of clear silicone caulking on the tab before you install them (Put new bulbs in the lamp holders to be safe)
