Extreme Veteran Posts: 427 Location: McCleary WA | Car has new floor installed, '06 Chrysler 300C independent rearend, Gen III 5.7 hemi, 5-spd auto, 14" disc brakes all around, power rack. No missing trim inside or out, glass all good except needs windshield. Have new rockers and lower rear quarter panels that need to be installed. Complete body was media blasted and sealed. Frame was sandblasted, chassis reassembled and painted with Chassis Black. Body mounted with new pads and grade 8 bolts. Floor repaired with 6 panels from Real Steel Replacements and two more that I hand fab'd. 2006 Chrysler spare tire, jack, and battery box mounted in rear spare tire well. New battery. Good gas tank, plus I sourced replacement brackets, filler tube and new cap for it. Rebuilt power tail gate window riser. All stainless in good shape. Have stock and '06 Chrysler radiators, had planned to use the later one. New power steering rack for an AWD '06 Chrysler 300 (because it is a rear mount compared to the RWD one being a front mount) installed on a removable cradle, with new steering arms fashioned from 1" square stock with correct Akerman (sp?) angles. Stock '57 front spindles modified to accept '06 14" disc brakes, with provision for ABS if desired. Boxes full of new door seals, window channels, tailgate seals, etc. If desired, sale includes all mechanical and electrical take-offs from the '06 Chrysler 300C - window motors, door locks, navigation/6 cd player, wiring (all connections labelled), computers, etc. I have the rear seat for the wagon. It will need front seats and a windshield, and the engine rebuilt. I have the Chrysler front seats in very good condition, but being out of a 4-door they do not tilt forward for rear seat entry. I had intended to use Challenger seats or similar. I don't make a habit of taking a loss on cars, but it's becoming obvious that I should not have started such a huge project at my age. If I don't sell it I will probably bite the bullet and turn it over to a pro shop for completion. Price is $9,000 which is about half what I have in it now. Clean title, located in western WA state. Delivery for expenses possible within 500 miles or so, after payment in full. More details and photos on request.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 380 Location: Kennewick Wa | Sorry to hear this Darryl. Such a great project for someone. I was hoping to get over to see it sometime, but I don't get out much any more. My wagon is probably the biggest reason I crawl out of the house now days.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 427 Location: McCleary WA | At the Sunbust MoPar show today I met up with Horsepower Northwest owner Aaron Porter who might end up being the guy to help me finish the wagon if it doesn't sell. He is apparently an expert with setting up Gen III conversions. I'm going to Bremerton soon to check out his operation. I would love to finish it, but it needs to be done at a faster pace than what I am capable of alone. My full restoration of the convert only took 17 months, but street rod projects take so much longer due to all of the necessary changes and updates. At 70 I'm not so sure I want to spend another 5 years working on it... Oh, and I picked up trophy #19 for "1st Place Classic Convertible" today, too. Edited by Darryl T 2019-08-19 12:33 AM

Extreme Veteran Posts: 427 Location: McCleary WA | I reluctantly sold this wagon back in August but it remained in my shop pending pickup, delayed several times due to the buyer's health concerns. Unfortunately, today he informed me that he would have to accept my offer of a refund due to his health issues. So now I need to decide whether to offer it for sale again, or turn it over to a pro shop for completion due to my own issues. Since I recently sold the convertible, the latter possibility is a little more feasible. The price would have to go up, to $9999, if anyone is interested. This is a very solid, complete, and rare opportunity. Let me know what you think.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 427 Location: McCleary WA | Update: All body work is done, firewall cleaned up, ready for paint; have 2014 Challenger bucket seats; 2019 7,000 mile 5.7 hemi with new performance cam, Edelbrock intake manifold, and Hellcat throttle body, Milodon oil pan; re-chroming and s/s polishing should be done next week. Power rack and pinion steering, independent rearend, 5 speed A/T, new A/C, 14" disc brakes etc. as described here: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=67196&... and here: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=71042&... Major items still needed: steering column and wheel; paint; windshield; upholstery; gauges restored or replaced; wiring; brake and fuel lines; radiator/condenser/fans; fuel tank repaired or replaced; wheels; tires. Have all chrome, s/s, glass except w/s; new rubber from Goers. I sold this car a year ago and then bought it back due to the buyer's health issues. Now the question is, does anyone on here have any interest in finishing this project? The price would be negotiable but obviously higher than before due to all that I have done to it since then. I will still be losing my butt, something I don't make a habit of. The reason I would consider selling is simply that I have the opportunity to acquire a very similar car already finished. I can't justify, or afford, having both. Please PM me if you have any interest or questions.
