Is there any wizzard on decoding that could help me decoding this buildsheet that i got from FCA? Any help would be highly appreciated.

I know that it was sent to a dealer in Harrisburg Illinois by the name of B.W. Rude Motor Co. It has a 325 poly with a 2bbl and torqueflight transmission.

Looks like it is a black/yellow/black Royal or Custom Royal built in Detroit on or around April 7, 1957. (A photo would help)

I think that I see Torqueflite ("323" code).



You might want to look for the Broadcast Sheet (like these) under a seat/carpet or on the top of the glove box:

Thanks Dave. Yes it was metallic charcoal, sunshine yellow, metallic charcoal as new. And yes it has a torqueflight. But it is a Royal Lancer.

I initially thought it was a Coronet because of the 21 in the 2176 body code but once I looked at the 372 VIN, I changed that opinion to a Detroit built Royal or Custom Royal (Detroit Coronets were 351...)

I was looking back and saw your post.

It decodes as a Royal 2 Dr HT, deluxe two tone, roof, fins and lower charcoal met. and saddle sunshine yellow.
Interior trim gold and black.
Axle ratio, I don't know. Maybe 3:31 to 1.
Delivered by truck
TF trans, heater/defroster, B/Up lights, R and L outside mirrors, day/night mirror, padded rear seat, stone shields, plastic steering wheel, std. wheel covers, carpet.
Power steering
8:00 X 14 wsw tires.

Nice car!!
