How do you remove the rubber front and rear window seals on a FL with damaging them?
Does anybody have a video or advise on how to do this.
I have a few FL parts cars that I need to part before winter that I can practice on.

you unlock them, then lube them up with something, push the bottom out, remove glass, remove seals.

to unlock you take like a plastic thin stick and open the seals up.

Ken, if you have the factory service manual (FSM) for the vehicle in question, the procedure is explained in pretty good detail with pictures. I was able to swap windshields in my 1960 Plymouth following the procedure if the FSM. I used Goop original formula hand cleaner to clean and soften the gasket ahead of the removal, a popsicle stick comes in mighty handy as well. If you look at my member's ride thread for my Plymouth, I have some of the details about windshield removal in that thread. If you want to email or even call me directly, send me a PM and I'd be happy to give more detail.

I will check out the thread. I will try the hand cleaner. The car I'm trying first is a 56 desoto rear window. If I'm looking at it right there is a rubber expansion string that kinda snaps into the middle? I will work the seal til it comes loose. Does the string remove in one piece? I don't have the service Manuel just the supplement Manuel. Will send a pm

to unlock you take like a plastic thin stick and open the seals up.

i use an old cutoff round screwdriver , rounded off smooth and wd40 to help things go smoother

to clean up , i use original go jo and let it set for a day or two in a plastic bag , then wash ----------------------------------------------later
