If I'm not mistaken, this was the car that sold in central California last month for about $20k.

The original seller was in poor health. Now I see that the buyer (flipper) is in "poor health". Car must be Typhoid Mary.

" I really hate to see you go, but selling due to poor health."

Don't remember the price but it was in the SanFran Craiglist when we (the forum) spoke about it:

I added the theoretical possibility of colour on the area between the New Yorker trim:

Nope, it's a different car. The SF car, they made 2500 of them according to the ad. Hence the lower price of $20K. The Texas car, being far more rare with only 2032 made, commands the $50K price tag. I'm feel more sicker, already.

So when I tell you the original listing price was 16K, you're really gonna puke.

Purchase price at that time may have been even less than that ......hope you're feeling better.

Joe, it never sold. the seller got greedy and reneged on the buyer that had me inspect it when the price was 14K. It went up to 16K, then 30K and on to 50K.

The seller is the family of the actual owner who is apparently in poor health. The price was 14k/offer and then progressively got higher once people started calling. Europeans apparently were offering higher amounts hoping to get the seller to renege on the original caller. (Me.) And that’s exactly what the seller did. They basically turned it into a highest bid scenario. It appears they had the car shipped to a Texas where they lived and now have an even higher 50k tag. GOOD LUCK.
