Watched the first episode of the restoration of the Hemi Christine clone last evening. The car he had was a bondo bucket and had floors as bad as the rivet and tar 58 Belvy I looked at in Dayton, Oh. Barn siding for floors. Was this a Mel car? Wondering who had this one.

I watched a couple of episodes of that show last night to see the 58 being built.

I couldn't take it.

I was watching to see the car be restored. I don't care about the imaginary fight between the painter and the owner's daughter. I don't care about the imaginary drama around making the TV show. I wanted to see the car being restored. I was so frustrated I turned it off. I don't watch much on broadcast TV, and I don't have cable. The overwhelming majority of what I watch is off You Tube where there is actual car repair / restoration / modification content.

What a waste of an opportunity to show a Forward Look car being restored. I don't know anything about this Worman guy. I don't have an opinion about him or his staff. If John says they are good people, I take that as fact because I trust John. But the TV show is wretched.

You wanna see a car being stitched together; go to Coldwar motors on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7Rsv8e3VU0. a fun bunch of guys. Some cussing though. The shape of some of those parts looks impossible, but he makes them from scratch.

I've been watching Scott on CWM for a while. Good stuff. That 60 Fury was definitely garbage. What he's done with it is nothing short of a miracle. It was destroyed as bad as John's 59 Sport Fury ragtop.

====================

Most TV today is geared toward America's finest trailer park trash. I quit watching
"the toob" in the 80's. It was bad enough then.

Agree about the poorly crafted banter and imaginary quarrels and conflict. Show me the darn car and the details of what work is being undertaken. Not much to see likely, as besides doing great paint work, they do sub out most of their work from what the show details. I don’t say that as a knock. I like the show and I love mopar up until about 1971.

The car came out of Arkansas. I looked into buying it but too pricey for me. John Fowlie supplied the floor pans.
