Expert Posts: 3033 Location: N.W. Fla. | I had a link to sheets of material on E Bay to cut out gaskets, but I lost the bookmark. Anyone got the link?

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7400 Location: northern germany | You basically only need a sheet of fuel resistant rubber. I have one left that worked great for my 60 Fury xx years ago. If you want I can measure the thickness, so you know what to buy. IIRC it was 2mm, that is around 5/64". Surprisingly I couldn't find any affordable Nitrile sheets on Ebay.com! Found this on Ebay UK: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Solid-Flat-Nitrile-NBR-Seal-Ring-2mm-thk-Ma... Edited by 1960fury 2020-01-16 4:21 PM

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13049 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Use Viton rubber, will withstand modern fuel and ethanol. The right thickness is important, so measure with cardboard. Apply a thin layer of silicone grease. No sealer needed. The correct measurements for '60 Chrysler is Ø 75mm X Ø 51mm X thickness 1,5mm) (Ø 2.9500" X Ø 2" X thickness .0600") Check and confirm

The thickness that worked for me is 2mm, the outer diameter is 3" the inner 2. 3/16". Hope that helps. I would send you a seal cut out of my remaining stock for the postage, but the German post now (hard to believe, but true) does not allow shipping of any goods in an envelope as a "letter", just correspondence. As soon as any goods are shipped, crazy prices apply for international shipping. Edited by 1960fury 2020-02-08 8:09 AM

I've tried the gaskets listed at the muscle car resto places & they don't seal. Seen comments that they are thinner than the FL era ones. Tried 1, 2 glued together, still leaks. I'm fixing to order something, just trying to figure out what.

Expert Posts: 3033 Location: N.W. Fla. | The old tank leaked. Then it rusted out in the seams and replaced, same lack of sealing with the new one.
