I have been going great guns on my restoration, most everything is available and can be bolted right on.  I am now stumped with the carb, it has been rebuilt and still does not perform well.  It was originally a Carter AFB 2797H or 27078.  I can find lots of 4 bl carbs, but no cross reference to be sure it will fit and perform on my 413 ci engine, hook up properly and still get the hood closed even if the air cleaner still fits.  Has anyone got any ideas on this or references that might help?

Pretty simple carb to go thru and tune, maybe something else is wrong? Never had one over the years that I couldn't get right.
