Subject: Scarebird Disc Brake Hose Direction

I am currently installing a Scarebird Disc Brake Conversion on my 1960 Plymouth, and have ran into a few questionable set-ups. First, I got to installing the calipers. The calipers are labeled left and right with the bleeders pointed downwards when properly installed. The Scarebird instructions say to install the calipers with the bleeders pointed up. To do that you must swap the calipers from side to side (left caliper goes to the right, etc.). Is that correct? The below photo shows the left caliper on the right side of the car.
My second concern is if the brake hose is going to get pinched if I hit a large bump. The Scarebird instructions show the hose terminating in front of the wheel but the path that the hose travels crosses the path of travel that the lower control arm rubber stop makes. The original brake set up has the brake hose terminating in front of the wheel. But since the disc brakes are mounted on the back side of the wheel do I need to relocate the hose? The bottom photo shows the lower control arm rubber stop's path of travel (red) and where the hose could be pinched (yellow).

From what I have been told by fellow mechanics left caliper means drivers side and right caliper means passengers side.

I install the calipers on the rear of the rotors (with the bleeders pointing up of course), and route the hose to the rear. I then make new brake lines to connect to them.

I would like to see the instructions. Most calipers are to the rear with rear openings and bleeders up on top. pick from scare bird. .
