Ad says not many of these around. That's probably a bit of an understatement. Several whiskey dents, but looks complete and very restorable.

I remember this beauty! I tried in vain to purchase this from the father, who decided to give it to his son, instead of selling. Looks like they stashed it away for the last four years.

I also tried to purchase this wagon when it was for sale a few years back. Talked with the owner on several occasions trying to work out a deal. The one thing remember most is he wasn’t willing to negotiate on the asking price.

Even though, I’d still be interested in the car now but again it hasn’t been easy to get more details, which brings this info.

Not certain if anyone else has tried. The contact link in the ad won’t open for some reason so sent several emails using the Craigslist link to inquire about the wagon. However, there has been no response. So I had a friend who lives out in that area try and they finally did get in contact with the seller. Here’s the info that was communicated, the person selling the car is NOT the owner.
They are friends of the owner and helping them sell the wagon. Stated that the price is firm and supposedly there is someone coming to look at the wagon next week, so my friend was informed that that he couldn’t go check it out.

In my opinion that’s a strange way to sell any car, versus usual transaction of whoever shows up with the cash first.

I know the seller, and have his phone number and e-mail address. If you'd like them, please send me a PM.

The ad for this wagon is still up so assuming it’s still for sale. Has anyone checked this wagon out in person?
Would be interested in details on the condition, mechanical issues and especially the usual rusted areas like floorboards, rear cargo well

I did have the opportunity to talk with person selling the car and made what I considered a fair offer, but was informed that the owner was firm on the $13,000 price. Therefore, I have not had my friend who lives in CA go check it out as don’t want to waste his or anyone’s time.
