Extreme Veteran Posts: 406 Location: Hilltown, PA | My mother was from West Virginia, and growing up I remember her missing RC cola - you couldn't get it in PA, or anyplace north of the Mason-Dixon Line, when I was I kid. I'm not sure, but I think shortly after I graduated high school in 1981 it became available nationally. It's entirely possible that bumper sticker was part of the campaign for national distribution . . . Gregg | ||

Expert Posts: 1348 Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | My 60 Plymouth Suburban still had the original spare. It had a sticker stuck on it that I found a few originals and stuck one on the back window years ago. The neighbor across the street moved and my new neighbor is Patricia Nixon and David Eisenhower's son. Never asked him if he even noticed. Expert Posts: 2308 Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | As others have already said, your bumper sticker was probably an advertising gimmick for selling Royal Crown Cola, a soft drink. The presidential election of that year (1984) was a contest between President Reagan (Repubilcan Party) and former Vice President Walter Mondale (Democratic Party). I don't remember what their respective bumper stickers looked like, but they did not resemble what you have. Mr. Reagan easily won reelection of course because no one wanted to go back to the malaise of the Carter years.
