Has anybody used a later pump with higher pressure on a FL? Has the higher pressure caused any problems?

The pump on my '57 is rated at 750-800 psi and the pump I want to use is rated at 950-1000 psi. Don't want to damage the steering box.

Hypothetically, the piston seals will withstand a higher pressure, however, I'm not sure if the reaction ring washers (thin shim) would like a higher pressure.

The newer pump should have a releif valve (I guess), so prehaps it would be possible to adjust it to a lower pressure?
