I have a not-so-close neighbor (about a mile from my home) that I've sort of known for many years. He always comes to the local car shows, and lives near our Historical Society, where I'm the president and spend a lot of time. He has always taken an interest in my 1957 DeSotos, and always "claimed" to own a 1957 Imperial. Today I was mowing the Historical Society grounds, and in front of his house was this car, parked. I obviously knew it was his, but this was the first time in all these years that I actually saw it. I spent some time talking with him about it, and took these pictures, which I thought you'd all enjoy. The car is actually gorgeous, but would benefit from having the paint buffed out since it's been sitting in his garage and not washed, waxed, or anything for quite a few years. He intends to really start driving and enjoying it this summer. Cool to actually know there's another 1957 Mopar so close to me!

By the way, the Historical Society is the white mansion in the background of one of the lower pictures. The "castle" in the first picture is owned by a friend of mine and is undergoing a restoration.

Love the single headlights! Not seen very often and from what I gather, most prefer the quads.

The single headlight configuration really seems to capture the 1950's style and feeling - I prefer it to the dual headlight look.

I would agree that the single headlight cars really do have something special going on.

Great car, and an absolutely beautiful color combination.

I won't knock the single headlight cars because I still like them. But those enormous fenders were designed for the quads, and IMO look better with them.

Back in 2008 before I bought the 60 Saratoga, I looked at a 57 Imperial in the identical color scheme, shell pink/gold interior. It was in Yelm, WA. It was identical to this other than it had quad headlamps. This is the car !

Go easy on him Chris.

I believe quad (dual x 2) headlights were a 57 *option*:

By 58 they were standard (as we know)
