Hey folks. I recently bought a 1960 Plymouth Savoy 2 door sedan from a friend. It needs a few things here and there but it is a solid car as is. Has the 225 6 with 3 on the tree.

Will try to post a photo.

Here is a list of things need done. The last owner did quite a bit. Any advice? Will likely make a separate post for help.

Window channels
Speedo, fuel gauge and temp gauge don’t work
Front left brake shoe rubbing (even with recent brake job)

Congratulations! I remember seeing a Savoy exactly like this on Craigslist but it wasn’t on long before the ad was pulled. It was the same color combo, body style and was a slant with 3 on the tree. Must have been the same car.

Yup! Same car. Friend of mine in California listed it and cut me a deal after expressing interest. Now she resides in my driveway in Oklahoma.

Nice looking car. The body looks really solid in the photos. I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun with her once you get those few things taken care of. Have you checked to see if the wire is on the temperature sender?
Most of the time when the fuel gauge doesn’t work its because the sender in the tank is bad. My car has the same issue and I replaced the sender and it works perfectly now.

I do agree with what Craig is saying however, you are not going to have an easy go of finding someone to arc your shoes for you.

Mine started out with /6 & 3 on the tree, but I changed out the whole powertrain & added disc spindles. Solved the brake situation & other things.
