L8-D6: 1958 Dodge truck 315 hemi motor. The notion that it came out of a bus is likely correct, but from '58 not '59. If it were closer to me, I'd buy it.

If I wanted to, I think that I can see the remnants of a 315 Power Giant sticker on this valve cover, like the ones below, that I captured from a 58 Dodge D100 truck on eBay:

251th 300 B built, the VIN tells that car scheduled between February 3 and 17, 1956…
