I purchased this car from a older fella that got it from original owners nephew. when i purchased it it had 48k original miles, it currently has 58k?
car is extremely nice and rust free original paint chrome and interior which is in very very nice shape. truthfully the whole car is

only negative thins are 2 items 1) carb needs rebuilt, i bought a kit never did it. 2) when car is cold it will shift thru all 3 gears fine then drop back into 2nd until it warms up ( usually 5-7 miles), after its warmed up it shifts like new, or close to new

really dont want to sell but i kinda like the 59 dodge i bought so one will be going onwards

$15,500 BO

Nice car.

I've always thought that the Marlin was inspired by Exner's Norseman

Neat car. I really like the exterior/interior colors too. I didn’t realize the Marlin came with standard power disc front brakes

I really like the boomerang trim piece behind the rear quarter windows that’s painted in a contrasting color. It does seem to borrow many of its styling cues from the Norseman.

The pictures remind me of when I saw a Marlin the first day they were introduced. It was at Nelson Motors in Minot, North Dakota, and the same color. I loved the looks and thought for sure it was the model that would save American Motors. Wrong again!

Turns out one of the designers of the Marlin,Richard A. Teague worked in the styling dept. for Chrysler when the Norseman was designed!

“The development team, under distinguished American designer Richard A. Teague, had to work with considerably smaller budgets than their counterparts at Detroit's Big Three[8] to create the new Marlin
Teague worked for Chrysler as a stylist during the mid-1950s and the fastback-styling of the lost 1956 Chrysler Norseman concept car's "resemblance to (that of) the 1965 Rambler Marlin fastback coupe, or vice versa, was (said to be) uncanny.”

Supposedly the Marlin also started out as a concept car in 1964 called the “Tarpon”.

Ive owned this car for close to 7 years. i bought it it had 48k original miles guy i got it from got it from original owners nephew. i put over 12k miles on it and to be straight up the car rides runs and handles extremely well. it glides down the roads. always draws a crowd and to listen to what people say is amusing
and to top it off there is no rust or pitted chrome or rips in interior
