It's important to understand the meaning of those stamps.

When an issue (electrical, trim, paint, etc.) was discovered with a car coming down the line, it was flagged and sent to an area for individual attention to fix the problem. When the issue was resolved, it received one of those stamps. So there were many cars that came from the factory without any stamps. And some with just one or two. So they are definitely not required for a high level restoration.

Ron, thanks for your explantion.

So these stamps are only on cars where defects have been resolved.
was that system used on all fwd-look-cars respective on all assembly plants?
Whats about the "final ok" stamp, was it only on cars whose had an defect before?

Thanks Dave
It looks that the "Final OK" stamp has different locations and different meanings, because different numbers are in the stamps.
1 on your car on driver side, 13 on the car I've posted before.

Interesting to see the stamping on inside of hood. I did not know, that there is a stamp.

That hood stamp is hard to read. I think it says:

QDEPT.
DESOTO
NO.
INSPECTED

that's with a lot of guessing

Yes, I would assume so. If the car never ended up in a defect line, there would really be no need to stamp it OK. It would just be driven off the line and over to the holding area, to be loaded and shipped to its final destination.
