Location: Winston Salem, N.C. | I am in need of covers for the generator and oil indicators located between the temperature and fuel gage in center of dash on 1956 Plymouths. The lower one is red and the upper one is yellow, estimated 1/2 inch in diameter. I doubt these are available and wonder where I could find colored thin plastic that I cut these 2 items from?
Thank you for your thoughts on this item.

Location: Ponder, TX | Here's one small sheet of red acrylic. I found lots of hits for "red Lexan", if you prefer.

Jerry: I think both lights, 1648 534 = Ammeter light and 1648 535 = Oil light were red (see below).
If it was me, I would be checking out local hobby shops or Michael's (not just for women) for thin (1/16") plastic sheets. If red wasn't available, I would get clear and paint it with a transparent red paint.
As for the letters, they were white. I would look in either hobby or drafting supply stores for the rub-on/dry transfer letting made by LetraSet. You will have to find a font that is close to factory and rub it on to the red plastic pieces that you have cut out. Once on, I would consider spraying over the letters with a compatible clear coat.
LetraSet per se might not exist these days but there is probably an equivalent out there.
