The 56 Dodge Lancer is very tasty. Was it originally a 315 D500 car or was it a 315 Poly? I understand that it has the 57 325 D500 engine now (which has more hp and torque than the 315 and hydraulic lifters, not a bad upgrade all and all).

Location: Lubbock, TX | I believe it was originally a 315 D500 car. The gentleman who restored it in the 1990's was big on factory performance cars and supposedly had one of the factory built 392ci powered 1958 plymouth until he wrapped it around a power-pole on black ice. Pretty cool dude.
It's really a frame off restored car that presents like a daily driver. Every nut and bolt has been redone, and the interior, while all new materials, looks like day one. Definitely sad to see it go, but I have a 1956 convertible and another 1956 hardtop to replace it.

Location: Parts Unknown | I sold an all-white example like this, with a 57 D-500 engine in 1990. Could this
be the same car ?

Location: Lubbock, TX | Could be, it was restored in 1996-1997, but I believe 56d500boy and I ran the paint code this one was originally a White and Coral car. |

Location: Alaska | I have never heard of a factory 58 Plymouth with a 392. Do you know of any documentation for this? |

I believe that you will have to take that up with our head of myth investigation, Mr. Rainbow. (He'll get back to you).
Eventually.
