Hi all..been awhile (again) Trying hard to get back on my projects. Been busy with job, house, and making other peoples cars pretty. I have been fighting with county for going on six months (permits, approvals...gotta love the government...not!)), but finally have my shop up (30x60, 10x10 roll ups)to start on my projects. trying to get trans ready in the 59 for 90 mile round trip to Big M next weekend. Don't know if its going to happen, but making an effort with my frre time. Now for sealing building interior walls, 2 post lift, and electrical.

Can you tell me what issues you had with the permits and how you got around them? I envision possibly moving and building something similar.

Only really 2 things that irked me....This nasty flu bug going around shut everything down to doing all the permitting online which was a pain and after I had sent in a set of CALIFORNIA ENGINEERED PLANS I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER $850 for another CALIFORNIA ENGINEERED calculations so another CALIFORNIA ENGINEER could say the first CALIFORNIA APPROVED ENGINEER did his job right!!!

Other than that, I will have a final inspection on the building tommorow. I am going today to get lumber for walls, sealer for concrete and caulking for seams. Still have to put in electrical.

I am SO excited!

The permitting started in April....the pad and building have been done in 3 weeks.

Next step, electric openers for the rollup doors. I delayed doing it for many years but finally got tired of having to go through the man door to open the rollups.

Is that a Corvair Lakewood wagon you have there along with your DeSoto? Very cool, quite the combo!
