| Looks like a very good restoration and reasonable price.
Would need pictures of undercarriage to be sure.

Nice car. Has been for sale for years. I think they wanted $41K at one point so $26.5K is much better.
As for "restoration", that is debatable. Interior is totally "restomod" (to me). Trunks were never that nice, not even in a Chrysler. Engine is close to OE D500 but the wire covers were painted black.
I would want to see photos of the rear springs (5 or 6 leaf?) and the cowl data tag.
Just sayin'

Location: So. Cal | Those are much nicer words than I would have used for the trunk. I think it's a total disaster. Maybe suitable to house a collection of cabbage patch dolls & my little ponys. Beyond that, it's pretty awful. The interior is livable, but as you say, not stock and not as nice as it could have been. |

Location: Pacific Northwest | The seller had three of these. Two of them were sold on eBay a year or two ago. All of them were "restored" ala Goodguys, Tri Five chevy style. Fuzzy dice, poodle skirts and "time out" baby on the bumper. I think he got 25,000+ for each of them.

Joe Peery's cars. He had two 56 D500s and a third non-D500 56 Coronet. Seems to live in Roseburg, Oregon. He is/was dice5 on this forum.
The red and white D500 car (originally 271 = white, charcoal, and coral) has engine number D500-1003 (3rd D500 engine). Hunter R. owns it. Been in magazines already. Magazine article has been posted in the D500 magazine section here.
The second one is a 56 coronet d500 with motor number is D500-4505 (supposedly). This probably the currently blue and white 56 Coronet under discussion. It had a "599" paint code which implies special order so all bets are off as to how it left the factory.
