Subject: best way to remove overspray from weatherstripping?

Would appreciate tips on best way to remove paint overspray from window weather stripping. It is 3 years old.

I would say acetone, but it may hurt the rubber. Maybe you can scrub it off with a scotchbrite pad. Probably going to have to live with it or replace it.

I've had good luck with removing overspray with Goof Off. Put a generous amount (damp but not dripping) on a paper towel/rag and gently rub the weatherstripping in the area of the over spray. But be careful. It will also remove paint if you are careless or apply too much.

The Home Depot at 1000 Hanes Mall Blvd in Winston Salem should have it, plus many hardware and/or paint stores.
