Hi! Im going on with a front suspension rebuild on my Chrysler 300 -64 and i see that one of my strut rods was a little bent, not much but a little bit. I have look around and as much of the parts for these cars is its not possible to find any new production parts for it and i have not be able to find any oe struts either, so i guess im stuck with what i have or do you guys know what to do? Just assemble it with new bushings? That was easy to find by the way but the actuall rods not exist, not oe or new production.

those struts should be easy to buy off Big M.. John or others... but cant you just straighten? These are not hardened steel so just take a hammer and whack it

Mechanical parts are still plentiful.. two door hard top/convertible body and trim parts are the expensive stuff..

I agree with Mike. Just straighten it as best you can and reinstall. It is necessary and a bad bend would impact the alignment on that side but if you get it as straight as you can, it will be fine.

Those lower strut bars are there to help keep the lower control arm from moving fore/aft under acceleration/braking and take some of the stress off the single connection point between the lower control arm and the frame.
