Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | After not seeing this car since '1961, when he traded it on a '62 Dodge Dart 440, my cousin recently found a pic of it when Grampa got it brand new, about age 60. My memory many years later was that it was a Coronet 4 dr hardtop, but my memory was wrong, it was a Coronet 2 dr hardtop, surprising given my grandparent's ages at the time. I had remembered that all the windows rolled down with no pillar because our '56 Chevy didn't do that, but always assumed it was a 4 dr. The colors were Moonstone Gray and Dk Charcoal Metallic, a beautiful understated combination and the very car that ignited my love of FL cars... if I ever get another vintage Mopar, it would have to be a '57 Dodge. Dang it won't post, wish this site would upgrade it's picture size limit!!! I don't know how to shrink it, but will make an attempt. Edited by firedome 2021-01-30 11:07 AM

Never used to be like that Dave: You *might* need to buy a new monitor. One that isn't powered by coal. Something like this Acer 22" 1080p LED monitor (not expensive at all). (I have similar one - works great) https://www.amazon.ca/Acer-SB220Q-Ultra-Thin-Frame-Monitor/dp/B07CVL...

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | Ok here it is.. 1/2 a megabite is a ridiculous limit though! You can tell he's really proud of his "Swept Wing Dodge" as he called it!

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | pic... I'd love to find a '57 in those colors! The proud steed of Andrew Anderson, of Melrose Mass. enthusiastic driver of Mopars, 1928 to 1982! Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | The interior was gold and black, the painted dashboard was light gold, really went nicely with the dark charcoal and warm gray paint.

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | Believe they were the original size whites on it, the cars in the brochure look about the same, not sure what color the rims were, but if the pale gray may make them look wider. Notice it looks like the rear may have blackwalls, either left on from winter or put on in anticipation, a must in Mass for the winter. Edited by firedome 2021-02-02 9:44 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9604 Location: So. Cal | I believe that a Coronet would have had silver painted rims (but maybe with light gray body color on the outsides?). That makes them appear to be wider than they really are. If you zoom into the picture, you can see the edge of the rim, and how it makes the whitewall look wider. Also, I believe the rear tires are also whitewalls in this picture. Edited by Powerflite 2021-02-02 11:12 AM

Expert Posts: 3153 Location: NY & VT | Makes sense. The blue 4 dr sedan above has the light rims that make them look wider.
