Can anyone help I am looking for info on this engine. I think it is a 300d but not sure. Any help would be great

1958 300D VIN = LC4, plus four digits, Engine number = 58N31001 and up

It can be narrowed down somewhat and get close to telling which 300D it came from providing is is an actual D block.
I found the current owner a few years back of a 300D that an engine block I had for years was originally in and reunited the block with the car!
