just a small correction, the engine is a 326 but externally the same as a 318. TOO MUCH GREEN for me.

Thanks. I didn't even read the description. I just saw the saw-tooth valve cover and said "Corporate 318".

But now that you pointed out my error, I remember that Willem Weertman tells the tale how Dodge had made its last own V8 in 1958 and therefore became a "customer" of the Mound Road engine plant for 1959. But Dodge could stomach having anything smaller than a 325 so they convinced Mound Road to make them something both larger than the 318 and their own 325. The result was a 0.04 inch over bore on the 318 resulting in a 326 with 3.95 x 3.31 bore and stroke. 255 hp/350 lb-ft with a 2 bbl. Not bad.

I've edited the post title (thanks)

It's very well optioned for a Coronet -torqueflite, power steering, power brakes, dual mirrors, (left is remote control), padded steering wheel, clock, backup lights, whitewall tires, custom trim package, convenience accessory group, appearance accessory group, ornamental group, 2 tone paint, .......... BUT no radio!

That's pretty expensive for a 'leftover' car. Note that it didn't sell until Nov 1959. Which means that the 1960s were out for two months already. Wonder why they painted the steering wheel such an ugly color. Also engine, valve covers and air cleaner are all incorrect colors. Car probably wasn't driven much and sat for a long time indoors, since the seats are in such good shape.

Saw the car in person, these pictures are making it look a lot better than what I saw. Maybe it's the detail job of the century.
