Started to try to clean the Plexiglass on Plymouth Speedometer. It was starting to look hazy and needed a freshing up. Come see what I used to make it look better.

Also anyone have tips on what their favorite plastic trim restorer? What do you use to clean up the gauge faces?
Thanks!

Those plastic polishes work OK, but since the '57-'58 Plymouth uses a flat piece of plastic for this, you are probably better off cutting a new lens from a new piece of plexiglass. You can cut it out using a jig saw with a fine blade on it. Keep the protective paper on it until you are ready to install it into your housing.

Thank you for the tip! I wonder if the polish I’m using will work on plastic tail lights?

Crazy as it sounds I been using Oxy Clean. It works as far as I've seen. I soaked a radiator over flow tank over night and it rinsed off and looks pretty darn good. The coolant lines inside came off and so did the 40 years of scum.

on a smaller scale , when my timex watch gets way to many fine scratches on the crystal , i use mothers aluminum polish and a fine knit
piece of cloth to restore clarity with astonishing results @ 95%+ effective . on page two , if i were goin to replace a speedo lens like those on
57-58 ply , i'd use lexan . its way easier to clean without leaving a dull scratchy look . the tinted sunvisers in my dart are made of it . ---------------------------later
