I'm in need of a new battery for my '59 Dodge CRL and considering a vintage reproduction. Any recommendations?

Another option is the sort-of convincing fake tar-top available from many sources. https://www.moparmall.com/Tar-Top-Battery-Disguise-Set-for-1956-1959...

Bought this and sent it back, very poorly made over priced piece.

a little spendy from the mall!  Try this:

https://www.tartopper.com/product/tartopper/

decent decals are available too

https://www.classicindustries.com/product/md4181.html

end result

I slapped it on a NAPA Gold and that battery lasted me 10 years.  Came time to replace it, I did the exact same thing.  I didn't even consider buying one of the super-pricey old-style batteries to replace it.   Yeah, they aren't super high-quality, but at $20 each - get three of them!  You are still way ahead.  That's what I did and I'm still on my first tar topper and my first decal!

I buy "tractor" batteries from UFA. They look more the part than the new style ones, without the cost.
