Location: Seven Valleys, PA | Does anyone know if the factory anti-sway bar from a '59 Firedome 4 door sedan would fit a '59 Dodge Coronet 2 Dr Hdtp? Naturally, the brackets will have to be cut off and welded to the other car (I confirmed they are not bolt-on). But I am not sure if the frame widths are the same, etc. in order to know if the bar is the right length, nor if the strut bars are the same (the anti-sway bar clamps to teh strut bar near the A-arm). |

Location: Alaska | The sway bar will fit your Dodge but you may also need the Firedome strut rods as I believe they have a flat area on them where the sway bar attaches. |

Location: So. Cal | The bar may be the same shape between the large wheelbase (Firedome) and small wheelbase (Dodge) cars, I'm not sure. The catalog lists them with different part numbers, but I'm not sure if that's just a difference in diameter. Looking at them, they seem to be very similar. But the frame brackets are definitely different. If you swap the frame brackets, you will have to modify them to get them to work. The strut bars aren't the same either, but the brackets should swap over easy enough. |
