This looks like a really nice car at a great price, with no reserve on it. Would be a great cruiser for someone. Buy it and just enjoy it. But the auction ends very soon so you have to act quickly.

This 1955 Imperial four-door sedan is finished in yellow and green over a green cloth interior, and power is supplied by a 331ci Hemi V8 mated to a two-speed automatic transmission. Features include power brakes, power steering, a power-adjustable front bench seat, power windows, a Chrysler Airtemp air-conditioning system, and an aftermarket retro-style stereo. The seller purchased the car in 2014 and has since addressed a rear-end leak, installed replacement mufflers, and replaced the fuel-gauge sending unit. This Chrysler-built C69 Imperial is now offered at no reserve with service records from current ownership and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body was reportedly repainted under prior ownership and is finished in Sunburst Yellow with a Jade Green Iridescent roof. Exterior features include chrome trim and side moldings, a split egg-crate grille, chrome bumpers with integrated turn signals and dual exhaust exits, and air intakes and “gunsight” taillights mounted on the rear quarter panels. The seller notes scratches, chipped paint, scuffs, and pitted chrome in various locations, close-up photos of which are provided in the gallery below.

Chrome wire wheels with knock-off-style hubcaps are wrapped in whitewall tires. Power brakes and power steering were standard equipment.

Front and rear bench seats are upholstered in green cloth with patterned inserts on the seating surfaces and door panels. Amenities include a power-adjustable front seat, front and rear lap belts, fold-down center armrests, power windows, and an added retro-style stereo. The removed Town & Country radio is included in the sale and shown in the gallery.

A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and an auxiliary gauge cluster. The shift lever is located on the dashboard to the right of the gauges. The steering wheel exhibits cracking, as pictured in the gallery. The five-digit odometer displays 24k miles, approximately 2,500 of which have been added by the seller.

A Chrysler Airtemp air-conditioning system mounted in the trunk incorporates fresh-air intakes and allows for air recirculation in the cabin.

The 331ci FirePower Hemi V8 was factory rated at 250 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that the fuel-gauge sending unit was replaced and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale. The engine is said to leak oil.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a PowerFlite two-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports replacing the mufflers and repairing a rear-end leak. Corrosion is noted on underbody components, and additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery.
