Given the asking price and the provenance associated with this car, I would have expected better body work than the photos show.

Power Steering was removed off the generator and the lines just capped off with a plastic bag and a zip tie. Weird...

Also is missing the factory ordered exhaust deflectors that are also visible in the wedding pics.

No mention of if the interior is original or not, (I doubt it).

Either way, an ambitious price for a car with an undercarriage that rough. I could understand $150k for a restored to factory new condition or $60-100k for a survivor unmolested car where you can literally sit on the same cushions as Truman...

The PS pump should be attached to the back of the generator in 1955 (and 1956).

I don't see that. I do see the PB booster and the Air Con compressor.

PS is available at extra cost in 1955

Yeah, but that's the PS line down at the bottom of the pic near the exhaust manifold. The pump has clearly been removed.

I don't see the 149k price in the current ad, I do see it noted that it cranks but doesn't run. Something also usually expected in a high price point

I think he's going to find that there aren't very many Harry S. Truman fans still capable of purchasing and taking care of his car. And most museums aren't viable entities anymore.
