Location: Muskego, WI | I haven't investigated it yet, but when I roll my rear window down and up in my wagon I have to help by pushing or pulling the glass. If I don't, I hear a "ratcheting" sound and the glass won't move so I'm presuming the sound/issue is a rubber coupler between the electric motor and the window mechanism. Are new couplers available anywhere? Anyone have any other watch-outs or recommendations on things to check when I open up the access panel to look in the rear tail gate? |

Location: Muskego, WI | AMS obsolete does in deed have these reproduction couplers at about $40 each. Seems expensive until you figure out how much time you'd spend trying to make something better yourself. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. |

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | It might be the plastic gear inside the reduktion gear that's broken. there is a steel center with a thin molded plastic gear. Usually, they crack Open with age and You gear the ratcheting sound...... |

Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | There are repair kits available as well, bcame already in 61, so probably the problem occured early. The Kit contains the gear, shaft and some washers. Those kits are rare, but they're out there somewhere.... |
