My '56 Dodge Coronet Royal Lancer has a BAD torque converter.   Apparently it was  built/welded off center when new or improperly rebuilt.  Its junk.   Bunch of runout.

Looking to buy a used original that I can have my shop rebuild or if you have one by a reputable builder, that would be great too.

'55-56  Dodge and Plymouth  V8 cars with PowerFlite share this torque converter as I understand it.

THANKS !

Wayne: Sorry to hear that. There were two torque converters used in that era Dodges, 1555 789 and 1672 124 with a breakpoint at some engine number. Not sure why or the differences but they were probably both air-cooled (fins on the outside) and used on a variety of Mopars.
