Hi, Gang,

I am looking for a 16-tooth speedometer pinion/driven gear for my '61 Imperial. It is off-white in color and part no 1732 113. Can anyone help? Reached out to Fatsco and they have nothing in that tooth number and my other online searches have turned up nothing.

Thanks!

Rex

Just confirming that 1732 113 is a good PN and that it has/had 16 teeth and was in "Natural" (nylon white).

That said, George Riehl didn't list a 16 tooth pinion for the cast iron TFs, based on tire size:

http://www.chrysler300club.com/tech/transgear/pinion.html

Should/could look like this, according to Phil C. (the Frenchie):

Where are you located? I think I have one somewhere(!). If you can't find one in the US and interested, let me know and I will start the search. I'm in Germany and shipping, even for the smallest parts, reached ridiculous heights.

Thanks for your help guys. I am looking at the same parts listing page as 56D500 attaches above, and my gear is 16 teeth and natural in color, as the listing describes. I believe the Imperial is the only Chrysler Corp car in '61 with 15" rims, so that is likely when this one is not in the 300 Club list.

1960 Fury, I'll let you know if I cannot find one locally; thanks for the offer to help from Germany!

I am a little surprised how this happened. The speedo cable was laying on top of an exhaust pipe which I think dried the cable out at that point and caused it to stick, but instead of breaking the cable, it stripped the driven gear. I was also surprised to see that there is a reducer between the speedo cable and transmission that looks likes it been there forever. Must have been to correct the speedo? It survived intact too. Of course, either of them could have been easily replaced. Thanks again for the help!
