Once again, I admit that there are a lot of you here with tons more experience than me. I was asked if I knew the correct way to remove the "rain trap" indicated by #6 in the schematic below. The guy who sent me the pictures said that he bent it all up getting it out (apparently it was pretty rusty) and he's hoping to find some method to get it back in place after media blasting, without bending it up again. Any ideas?

Some amount of bending is required, but if you angle it right, it isn't severe. I believe that I angled out the passenger side first, but it's been a while since I've done it.
