I drove my '58 Fireflite for another test drive and the torqueflite puked it's fluid out of the dipstick again every time I put on the brake. It dumped out quite a bit of fluid and left a big mess, so that by the time I got home from only 1 mile away, I had lost most of my fluid. I think I may have damaged the transmission as a result. Any idea what would cause it to do that? It seems to initiate from letting off the gas & braking for some reason. Thanks.

Usually this comes from wrong fluid level and cavitating pump/s. Worst case, fryed front clutch....

It's true that the fluid does get low once the puking gets started. Once it pukes, it keeps going in a vicious cycle, and you don't always know when it's happening. But I don't understand why it would have done it at the beginning to make the fluid low in the first place. I've never had another trans that would do this, even if the fluid got a little low.
