Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | A few years ago, I wished some inheritance from someone I never knew would come in and then my thought was to ship my Suburban to Europe and travel around for a while BUT I've always wondered.
You across the big pond have been buying large US muscle cars, luxury cars/"boats", ect. for years. What do you do with them. I mean, can you even drive them anywhere?
All I see are roads narrower than my Suburban going into towns with streets so narrow that tiny cars have a tough time, packed with people flying around on mopeds that are just able to navigate turns in ancient streets.
I know I am totally ignorant but IF I were ever able to afford to come over there, could I ever enjoy driving around or would my behemoth be stuck at the docks? Would I need to get clearance permits to drive it on narrow streets? Honestly, all I know is from movies, TV, news, ect. All the roads look like MAYBE 2 tiny cars could safely pass only to get cornered in a 2000 year old village that vehicles over 3 meters' can't make the turns.
I just don't know. What do you do? You have a 20' long gas guzzler. Do you only do shows? Is there a reason to bring an American car over there and not just to put in a museum?
I see a person driving 200 KPH on some country road just a little wider than their car surrounded by hedges and obscure intersections popping up all over.
I'm really sorry, hopefully this doesn't offend? I'm pleading TOTAL ignorance. I've always wondered. IF you've been to the States, maybe you can tell me what the differences are?
Who knows, maybe there is 1 other person that has thought the same thing?
