Expert Posts: 2002 Location: Branson, MO | Thanks Chemist - this is probably the finishing touch I'll do to the car to make it as original as possible. It's a reproduction trunk mat I was able to obtain recently and I am installing it over the carpet that is in the car now. The carpet should help keep the car quieter from road noise and now all I have to do is a little trimming around the fuel filler tube, the right side wheel well, and the trunk latch housing. I need to wait for warmer weather to do that though so the mat is more pliable and should keep it from splitting or tearing.
